Nutrazinc® is a proven nutritional supplement for working dogs (sled dogs, hunting dogs, and herding dogs).

This amazing supplement is the most economical source of dietary zinc available on the market! Nutrazinc contains no additives, fillers, or stabilizers in the product. The product is zinc gluconate in its purest form, readily bioavailable for absorption in the dog’s gut.

Nutrazinc® has been successfully used by many top mushers and top breeders for years. Feeding Nutrazinc® helps to promote tougher feet and healthier coats in dogs. Its use reduces the occurrence of splits and cracks in-between toes, as well as nail breakage. Supplementing Nutrazinc® to show dogs will help to keep their coat in top condition. Furthermore, Nutrazinc® should be fed on a daily basis to dogs suffering from zinc deficiency, a common condition in northern breeds. Signs of zinc deficiency (zinc-responsive dermatitis) can also be observed in other breeds being fed low-quality "supermarket" types of dry food.

The maintenance dose is 2.5 included scoops for 50 lbs. of body weight (or one included scoop for 20 lbs. of body weight).

The 8 oz. jar is recommended for single dog owners. Contains approximately 888 individual doses.

The best zinc supplement!

There is only one problem. As I see a lot of people can not investigate and count. Can you make your recommendations easier? You give 2,5 scoops for 50 lb, but you don't tell that 2,5 scoops = 50mg of zinc. 50mg per day is for healthy dogs, it won't help the dogs with ZRD. The problem is vets don't listen, don't know, don't care. People can't ask them. Nutrazinc works amazing!!!!!! But people are extremely confused about the dosage.
My dog was 50 lb, I was giving 250mg of zinc per day. Maintenance dosage doesn't work. And it would be nice if you write that zinc is very hard on stomach. Give only with food and split the dosage for morning - evening.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad you are happy with our Nutrazinc! To address your suggestions, this is what is stated on the product label:

“For maintenance use, feed 1/13 of a teaspoon per dog per day (or 2.5 of provided scoop = 50 mg), based on an average dog weight of 50 lbs. For dogs with severe skin or coat problems, for dogs with acute zinc deficiency, or for working dogs in active training, the dose can be tripled or quadrupled if needed. Mix Nutrazinc thoroughly in your dog’s food.”

It is not necessary to divide the dose in two. However, many of our customers have done that.

trying to address loss of guard coat around the neck of my Malamute

IT is too soon to tell if this product has had any effect. However, there is PLENTY of product in the single jar to last a very long time and see the results.

We just received it today,so we can't comment just yet.

I have a dog with food allergies that started to get a rash on his chin. We are pretty strict with his diet so I was really puzzled at this rash I could not get to clear up. He has been on the Nutrazinc for a few weeks now and the rash is about 60-75% resolved! He had begun to get itchy again and that has also cleared up. HDA has set me som articles and information as well, they were super helpful. Worth a try if you pet is having issues!

This is an excellent product. Our 5 DVM's have recommended this to many of our mushers for their huskies as well as other breeds.
